They are reunited, express that love, and live happily ever after. That being said, this one didn't bother me as much as some others. It was an interesting story, especially the dog and the search and rescue operations. There also weren't any graphic sex scenes. I might pick up this author again at a used book sale, which is where I got this one. Sep 11, Kate Phelps rated it it was amazing. This was the first Johansen book I read beacause it was a gift many yearsbago I could not put this book down. I started reading it at 6pm and finished in just enouhlgh time to get to work the next morning I can't get enough!!!!

Welcome to

I never warmed to Logan and his strong arming a situation so that Sarah was used to find Bassett seemed contrived. Well, the whole Rudzak "I will get revenge and kill Logan" scheme was so convoluted and seemed so implausible that the story just didn't work for me. Eve's inclusion seemed like unnecessary filler.

The only redeeming part of the story was Monty, the rescue dog and his falling for Maggie, the hurt wolf. Jul 25, Elizabeth Noah Astle rated it really liked it. I enjoyed this book however, I am not sure why it is in with the Eve Duncan series.

We need you!

There were maybe a dozen pages dedicated to Eve. This story gave insight to Sarah and what the hold that Madden had over her and about the relationship between her and John Logan. I think the story focused more on their relationship than it did on the threat from Rud I enjoyed this book however, I am not sure why it is in with the Eve Duncan series. I think the story focused more on their relationship than it did on the threat from Rudzik. Though, Rudzik did play a part in Login's past, it gave the reader an insite as to what he was like before and to the reason that Rudzik whated to harm Logan.

The story takes you to Columbia in the beginning to rescue a hostage which you quickly find out is about Logan. It then returns to ranch of Sarah in Arizona where a big chuck of the story is played out. They finally end up in North Dakota where one of Logan's plants are located, and the story finally ends there. The story does throw in a love intrest for Monty, yes Monty the dog--but not sure how believable that can be as he falls for a wolf?

My biggest question next to why this is in the Eve Duncan series is about Bonnie.

Sarah's Key – review

It states in the beginning of the story that she her bones , were found, verified via DNA, and buried on the hill by the cabin that Eve and Joe have. I have read some further books in the Eve Duncan series can not remember which ones--maybe you can help me name them , in which Eve is still looking for Bonnie. I know I have missed some books in the series and I am now reading them in order as maybe one of the ones I have missed will explain it to me about Eve still looking for Bonnie.

Maybe a goodreads person here can help me on this one. Jun 08, Maggie Curry rated it liked it Shelves: contemporary-reads , murder-mystery-whodunnits. A novel I had to take two stabs at, it ended up being an all right read. It was a little slow-going at first, and I wasn't pleased about the fact that it's classified as an "Eve Duncan" book, when she barely appears at all. Panic Room: Screenplay Structure

Johansen knows how to write a story that keeps you turning pages, and this one did that for me. I also loved Iris Johansen is a solid, strong author, and her books can be depended upon for interesting characters, exciting storylines, and lots of suspense and action. I also loved the character of Sarah. Strong female characters always make a book a good read for me, and Sarah is definitely strong, and determined to maintain her independence no matter what, or who tries to protect her. Not only does that make for a good character, the stubbornness makes for a suspensful and engaging read. I will voice one minor irritant, which is not a complaint about this book, per se, as I've come across this scenario in several books I've read just recently, but just a curmudgeonly observation. How is it that these "average" women seem to constantly be thrown together with these millionares and billionaires?

Even smaller is the likelihood of these millionaires falling head-over-heels for such normal folks. But, as I said, that's not a complaint about this book, just something I've been noticing. Overall, I found this a good light read. Well-written, interesting plot, and characters I can connect to and root for.
